At the end of the sixth day, God created man—the very center of His creation. Though scientists may not agree, the heavens exist for the sake of the earth, the earth exists for the creation of man, and man exists to fulfill the will of God.
This helps us understand how important mankind is to God. It is through man that God will establish Christ as the Head over all things—both in heaven and on earth. In this way, humanity will carry out God’s eternal purpose: to bring all things into submission under Christ.
Title 2 – Recognizing the One Sent by God

Among the many titles our Lord Jesus holds in the Bible, the book of Hebrews tells us that He is our Apostle (Hebrews 3:1). But what does that truly mean?
During His earthly ministry, Jesus chose twelve men to follow Him and to learn how to serve God in His work. To these men, He gave the name apostles.
Much of the New Testament was written by Paul, who in nearly all his letters introduced himself as an apostle of Jesus Christ—not by the will of man, but by the will of God.
Paul also wrote to the Corinthians that God has appointed “first of all apostles” in the church (1 Corinthians 12:28). Clearly, this role holds great significance in the New Testament and in the life of the church, of which we are all a part.
So what exactly is an apostle? What is their role within the church? Is this role unique to the New Testament, or do we see traces of it in the Old Testament as well?
These and other questions will be answered in the light of Scripture throughout this book. May God enlighten your heart as you read, so that you may enjoy the boundless riches He has revealed to us in His Word through His apostles.
